The largest fashion trade fair in Europe took place last week in London, as you can see it's a big event. I had to lean over the balcony of the fashion accessories and shoe hall to take this picture, hoping that the entire contents of my handbag didn't spill out over the unsuspecting visitors below - thankfully I didn't embarrass myself.

Mo and I spent most of the day drooling over stunning hand beaded gowns that would make any woman feel like a Hollywood star.

We have so much fun choosing our collections, and this season is no exception. We have found some luxurious Italian knits, beautiful silk dresses and lots of gorgeous day wear which will fit into your wardrobe effortlessly. We think you'll love it, and don't worry the Eni mantra still remains, great quality but at affordable prices!

Valentine's was a bit of a wash out this year. I usually receive an anonymous declaration of love from my mother - who then fains surprise when I thank her for her card! This year she is travelling in Southern India, enjoying Mojito's in the Imperial Hotel in Delhi, before her wild adventures begin. Meanwhile I was up in London walking around the largest fashion trade fair in Europe feeling rather sorry for myself. It was late when I got home, and there on the shop counter was a single red rose. I tore open the attached card and the card read "To my gorgeous girls, lots of love Emma" xxx
Emma is a wonderful, and quite batty friend who owns the most beautiful flower shop in South Molton, simply called "The Flower Shop"
When Emma is not lying on the floor giving Millie kisses and cuddles, she creates the most stunning floral arrangements.
So this is for you, Millie and her beautiful rose - thank you!

Fran was simply my best friend and I miss him every day.
I took a huge step back from what was my passion. This was only possible due to Mo, who kept everything running and who has been incredibly patient and supportive.
So I would like to say a big thank you to Mo and my wonderful friends who have supported me through such a difficult time - you know who you are

With the promise of a heatwave I was planning to create a cut flower garden this year so that my home would be filled with the scent of fresh cut flowers. My tiny courtyard would be full of the heavenly scent of lillies, roses and jasmine. Sadly the Met office in Exeter has let me down! Fortunately Caroline Hardy produces the most wonderful aromatic tapers. A highly effective way of imparting fragrance into a room, more constant than pot pourri, and without the vigilance needed with a candle, these aromatic tapers are rapidly becoming the new must-have.
Caroline has very kindly donated bluebell, one of my favourite scents in the range to our prize draw, quintessentially English, this fragrance will transport you to the very depths of a bluebell wood.
This is one of our all time bestsellers, and rightly so.

All entries to the prize draw close on 5th September 2009

One of my new years resolutions was to get the Eni blog up and running and to keep it up to date. Mo who likes to keep me organised has taken to putting her head around the office door chanting blog, blog, blog!
The reason for my absence is that I have taken on several new projects, the hardest being learning how to drive. No major accidents as yet but my driving instructor has had a new clutch put into his car for which I may or may not be responsible. If you see me riding around town in "the beast" and you value your lives, stick to the kerb!

The second project is the Molton Mosaic, an ambitious venture to mosaic the outside of our local swimming pool using donated china. When completed, the mosaic could turn out to the be the largest in Europe. Somehow I managed to get myself elected as vice chair, last night I spent a few hours at the workshop sorting through the tonnes of china we have already received. There is a real buzz in and around the town, it's amazing to see how the whole community has come together. As gahndi said "be the change you wish to see in the world."

Anyone who knows me will know I have a love of shoes, and these caught my eye at one of the many shows we attend every year. Made of satin, leather lined and with a pretty ruffle at the toe. The flats are already becoming a firm favourite with our customers, so much so that the grey flats are now only available in size 5.

The black ruffle heel has a divine peep toe and are perfect for a night out on the town!

Welcome, to the Eni blog! After much deliberation and hard work (not mine I hasten to add!) the Eni blog is now live.

We will be celebrating our third birthday in August, it's quite frightening to think how quickly time has flown by and the changes we have seen. I was looking at some photographs of when we first opened, we were obviously going for the minimalist look at the the time, we have just had a facelift and everyone agrees the shop is looking great.

Much has changed, lessons have been learnt but I can honestly say I still love coming to work everyday. Eni has a loyal army of wonderful women (and men but mostly for important dates like birthdays and valentines) and I still get a tingling feeling when I see someone leave the shop with an Eni bag, tied with our beautiful signature ribbon.

Based in the historic market town of South Molton, Devon, the gateway to Exmoor, Eni opened it's doors almost three years ago. If you come into the shop there will be three friendly faces to greet you. There is Morele (that's me) owner and gift wrapper, Mo who tells anyone that will listen that she is my slave - personally I prefer the term "my right hand". All I will say is that everyone needs a Mo, and last but not least is Millie my border collie who works six days a week meeting and greeting everyone that comes in to the shop.

So introductions out of the way, I hope that the Eni blog will keep you up to date with news and exciting new products that are continually arriving.

Morele
