August 01, 2009Bluebell Wood
With the promise of a heatwave I was planning to create a cut flower garden this year so that my home would be filled with the scent of fresh cut flowers. My tiny courtyard would be full of the heavenly scent of lillies, roses and jasmine. Sadly the Met office in Exeter has let me down! Fortunately Caroline Hardy produces the most wonderful aromatic tapers. A highly effective way of imparting fragrance into a room, more constant than pot pourri, and without the vigilance needed with a candle, these aromatic tapers are rapidly becoming the new must-have. All entries to the prize draw close on 5th September 2009 In the spring I suggest you make a must go trip to blubell wood in Okehampton to enjoy this beautiful example of ancient oak woodland stretching from Meldon Quarry in the west for several miles along the northern slopes of Dartmoor. Millie and I will see you there! Posted in |
